Program Manager
Purpose:
The Program Manager is accountable for managing one or more highly complex/enterprise program(s), facilitating the optimization of costs and resources, mitigating risks, integrating and resolving project interdependencies and ensuring achievement of expected benefits. The program manager develops the program strategy/approach, supports development of the business case, negotiates changes in plans and communicates with key
Responsibilities:
Accountable for benefits, budget, schedule and quality of program elements
Works with the HR team to define the program comprised of interrelated initiatives and projects needed to execute the portfolio. Leads high-level sessions for program plan and schedule development
Ensure alignment of Programs with Bemis strategies
Prepares and manages Program Budgets (staff, OpEx, CapEx) in accordance with HR & IT Budget guidelines
Reviews/approves project plans for conformance to program strategy , plan and schedule
Acts as the communications conduit with executive sponsors, stakeholders and program steering committee. Conducts periodic briefings/status updates
Manages complex and difficult risks/issues with transparency
Leads teams and individuals in alignment with the Guiding Principals
Conducts business in alignment with Program Management guidelines, policies, and procedures
Fosters development, support, and promotion of Program/Project Methodology standardsEducation & Experience Required
Education /
Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree is desirable
10 - 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience and 8 years of managing programs/projects.
HR experience strongly preferred
PgMP and/or PMP certification preferred
Travel percentage: 20%25%20depending upon the program
