This position is part time, every/every other weekend with the opportunity for additional hours throughout the week.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
Accommodate hotel patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests.
The Front Desk Representative focuses on making reservation, taking care of guest requests, checking guest in and out, ensure our guests are 100% satisfied.
The job also entails ensuring you gather the guest information at check in, keeping the lobby and desk area clean and clutter-free.
Duties also include ensuring laundry is completed, sweep and mop the lobby, stocking the marketplace, cleaning guest rooms after check out and keeping public restrooms clean but not limited to these items.
Computer skills are very important when working as a front Desk representative.
We also require excellent written and oral communication skills as the majority of the job is communication.
Advise housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning.
Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment.
Arrange tours, taxis, or restaurant reservations for customers.
Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
Clean and maintain lobby and common areas, such as restocking supplies and watering plants.
Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of hotels or motels.
Issue room keys and escort instructions to bellhops.
Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers.
Make and confirm reservations.
Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits.
Plan, schedule or supervise the work of other employees.
Post charges, such as those for rooms, food, liquor, or telephone calls, to ledgers, manually or by using computers.
Prepare for basic food service, such as setting up continental breakfast or coffee and tea supplies.
Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary.
Review accounts and charges with guests during the check out process.
Transmit and receive messages, using telephones or telephone switchboards.
Verify customers' credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation.
Mandatory Job Requirements:
Read, write and speak English.
Neat, well-groomed appearance.
Must have a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.

Accountability:
Front desk area Accounting Audits and shoppers report scores all within acceptable ranges.
Maintains high level of quality, service, and cleanliness.
Daily accountability for cash drawer, deposits, and guestroom sales.
Experience or Training Required:
High school education.
Previous desk experience preferred but not necessary.
