Job Description:
Position Purpose:
Conduct specialized technical work with emphasis in supporting Corporate Research initiative.
Key Customers:
Prototypers, Technicians, Product Developers, Research & Engineering (R&E) Customer Expectations:
Carry out all work ensuring effective Safety and Quality attitudes and practices.
Manage self in accordance with the expected behaviors of the Leadership Qualities.
Effectively achieve results that meet business and individual objectives.
Take appropriate action based on problem solutions.
Assist in training less experienced personnel.
Accurately record results and observations and report appropriately.
Scope:
Incumbent reports to a Corporate Research Organization Team Leader and receives direction from Product Technical Leader.
Assists on technical programs contributing to product design, development, and execution.
Performs moderately complex tasks under the direction of an experienced scientist.
Key accountabilities include prototyping, product acquisition, bench testing (requests, execution, and summaries), small scale consumer studies planning/placement and summaries, making first of a kind product designs / prototypes, coordination of hand-making products and visuals, including documenting PPS instructions, requests for product safety clearance, competitive assessments, experimental product/material trials, product presentations and visuals, supporting consumer co-creation and product workshops.
Qualifications / Education / Experience Required:
A Bachelor's degree (broad range of disciplines), or 2-4 years post high school technical education plus 2-7 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent in relevant education and/or experience.
Knowledge of and experience in disposable and reusable consumer products.
Desired skills include a working knowledge of laboratory techniques and/or equipment/machinery operations plus application of scientific methods.

Background in product or garment design.
Knowledge of and experience in hand making and bench/consumer testing of disposable and reusable products.
Knowledge of complex data analysis and report writing as well as making recommendations.
Proficiency in MS Office Software including MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Ability to learn new software / systems related to product development and engineering (e.
g.
, image software, drawing software).
