Director of Operations

$112K - $142K a year Outlook Group is seeking a Director of Operations to be part of our growing team.
The ideal candidate would have 10 years of manufacturing management experience with a background in the printing and/or packaging industry.
This is a leadership position, reporting directly to the President and key to helping Outlook Group win in the marketplace via innovation and service excellence.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Manage all areas of manufacturing, engineering, distribution and capital projects for Outlook Group to produce items and direct activities to ensure products are delivered on schedule and within quality standards and objectives for our customers.
Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
Establishes metrics for each department and holds department heads accountable to those targets on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Assists company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives.
Develops annual and long-term manufacturing plans and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations.
Maintains optimum employee levels and implements a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.
Creates an environment which retains employees and generates leaders.
Directs and develops department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing and distribution plan, consistent with manufacturing and safety best practices.
Qualified applicants will have:
BA/BS in industrial, mechanical or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10
years of experience in manufacturing management with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the printing and/or packaging industry and a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a significant segment of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.
Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications.
Excellent cross functional communication and presentation skills.
Executive level business acumen.
