is hiring a Quality Technician II! The Quality Technician II ensures that the Company meets and exceeds customer and Innovative Machining, LLC, specifications to prevent product rejection.
Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness:
Work safely and efficiently.
Operate within budget or projected costs.
Generate cost improvement ideas.
Minimize waste and production errors.
Foster positive relationships with department members, other departments, and customers.
Product Inspection:
Perform routine product inspections at various production stages (Spot Checks, First Piece, In-Process, and Final).
Read and interpret blueprints with a high-level understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Machine Adjustment Support:
Provide measurement results to support and advise shop employees for machine adjustments.
Calibration Management:
Manage and maintain calibrations of tooling and quality supporting equipment.
Non-Conforming Product Handling:
Report, segregate, and dispose of non-conforming products.
Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for identified defects.
Generate work orders for rework or replacement of non-conforming products.
Communicate with associates, supervisors, and the Quality Manager regarding NCRs.
CMM Programming and Analysis:
Execute CMM programs and analyze report data for production product inspection.
Proficient in advanced CMM and Romer (PC-DMIS) programming or equivalent software, including scanning and offline programming.
Process Improvement:
Submit Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for process improvement.
Create work instructions related to the execution of the quality plan.
Metrology Equipment Calibration:
Perform CMM/Romer probe calibrations.
Responsible for PCDMIS updates and scheduling Hexagon calibrations.
Quality Management System (QMS):
Participate in assigned orientations and internal audits of the QMS.
PPAP and Customer Documentation:
Assist in the creation of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and other customer-required quality documents.
Statistical Process Control (SPC):
Coordinate SPC requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of CMMexperience preferred.
Proficiency in PC-DMIS CMM Programming Software (Will pay for training depending on current experience).
Knowledge of metrology principles and practices.
