Sr. Development Engineer/ScientistJob Responsibilities
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Leading and contributing to R&D programs (strategic research, new products, derivatives, cost-out, etc). Provide valuable support to customers. Will sit on staff of R&D team leaders.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a technical contributor or leader to Bemis growth programs.
Build innovation pipeline with new, solid, ideas.
Have expertise in DOEs, statistical analysis, and experimental design.
Responsible to satisfy T-review deliverables.
Responsible to work with cross-functional program team to drive programs in stage gate
Able to lead candid and thorough risk-assessment reviews.
Work independently and collaboratively in recognizing and resolving development and operating problems
Create intellectual property and file patent applications
Assist process development, operations and technical groups in developing and implementing process improvements
Troubleshoot production/quality issues and transferring process / troubleshooting knowledge to the organization.
Contributes to, prepares, presents and follows-up on research proposals and project documentation
Safety CultureEducation & Experience Required
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate/Bachelors degree in Engineering with 3
years of experience required.
Project Management experience required with understanding of experimental and analytical research processes and interpretations.
Demonstrated outstanding research/development accomplishments
Readily identified as a key contact in assigned area
Ability to act as a group leader on specialized projects
Broad thinker that can effectively collaborate across regions and cultures
Ability to present highly technical material in an easy to understand way
Travel percentage: up to 25%Skills & Abilities Needed
KEY DELIVERABLES/KPIs

Speed to supporting stage gate progression.
Delivery to content commitment and cost estimate
Patent Applications
